The prompt has dropped (photo to the right) and Writer in Motion, August 2020 has kicked off. My first impressions of the writing prompt photo were:
- Wow, pretty.
- That’s super remote. Looks relaxing.
- And lonely.
- But kind of easy, like, no responsibilities. Just be.
- I’d totally just retire there someday. Can you imagine the sunsets? And the silence. So quiet.
- I wonder how far it is to the grocery store?
- Nobody would find me that far out there. Ahhh, peace.
So many directions I could go with this. An adventure story? A father bonding with his children on one last trip to his favorite remote camp? A daring escape? A portal story?!
I guess there’s only one way to find out…
I’ll be posting the first draft within the next couple of days!
